Relief from a raw scratchy sore throat is here!
In most cases, inflammation of the throat (especially that which causes discomfort from swallowing) is usually the first symptom of the common cold. Occasionally, a sore throat is symptomatic of a number of commonly occurring disorders such as: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, or infectious mononucleosis, as well as many common childhood viral illnesses, such as: chicken pox, measles, or mumps.
In rare instances, it is brought on by the more serious streptococcal infection (causing strep throat), which if left untreated can cause acute glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the Kidneys), rheumatic fever, or scarlet fever.
The following Chinese herbal formulas are useful for treating simple inflammation of the throat as well as viral infections that cause sore throat.
Acute care is recommended.
