Aka: Shaolin Five Fragrances Jow; it is a famous prescription in Buddhist medicine, and as its name implies can be traced back to the Shaolin Monastery, where it was one of several preferred jows used by the Shaolin Monks for treating personal injuries involving soft tissues. It will circulate the blood, disperse blood clots and bruised blood, reduce swelling, and stop pain.
This formula should be prepared into a liniment (or jow). We will provide complete step-by-step processing instructions when your order is fulfilled.
Making your own jow is a simple process, just add the herbal kit (pour the herbs) into a large glass container and then mix in 3/4 gallon of your choice in alcohol type (traditionally Chinese rice wine is used or sake, but you may also use vodka, brandy or gin). Secure the lid and set the bottle in a cool, dark place – completely free of sunlight. Allow to sit (age) for a minimum of 3 months – 365 days is preferred. The longer you age it the better the jow!
Many prefer to powder this jow prior to preparing the jow, if you wish us to powder it for you, please select the above option for powdering.
This formula is for external application only—do not use internally!
Note: Our hand-conditioning formulas come in two different forms, ready-to-use (already prepared and aged) or those that you must prepare into a jow.
