Herbal
Liniments Used for Iron Palm
& Hand Conditioning
|
There
is no question that the clenched fingers of the human hand
formed into a fist is the weapon most frequently used in unarmed
combat. The predominant use of the hands – as striking
weapons in a wide variety of boxing styles -- underscore the
need for conditioning these most often used frequently injured
appendages.
Traditionally,
the use of hand conditioning formulas was considered essential
in order to prevent injury and lessen the possibility of long-range
negative side effects caused by repetitive striking (such
as: arthritis in the hands, wrists, fingers and joints). Generally
speaking, the herbs used in these formulas toughen the skin,
harden the bones in the hands, and circulate the blood and
chi.
Whether
you practice Iron Palm, Shiwara (breaking technique), or one
of the more generic styles of Karate or Kung Fu; conditioning
all of the striking surfaces – especially the hands
– should be a priority.
Among
the many dit da jow formulas that TREASURES FROM THE
SEA OF CHI offers, some are specific to a particular
style, while others are more general purpose. We also carry
hand-conditioning formulas that have been transcribed from
Chinese characters, originally written on silk dating back
many centuries, that until recently were only available to
those few who had access to ancient texts and were capable
of reading the Chinese language.
We sell
our hand conditioning formulas in two different forms –
ready-for-use (already prepared and aged) or those you
must prepare into a jow.
