The traditional Chinese herb store has changed very little over the centuries. Herbs are weighed out in doses for treating practically every ailment known to man. The patients are given a container of raw herbs, which they take home to be prepared into a decoction, infusion, pills, or a medicinal wine.

All of the herbal formulas sold by TREASURES FROM THE SEA OF CHI come in either two basic forms:

1) in the raw form, which requires that the herbs be decocted (or made into a tea) or cured in an alcohol solution (made into a medicinal wine or jiu).

2) patent formulas, which have been imported from China, these formulas are commercially prepared herbs in pill form, tablets, salves, syrups, herbal oils or ointments.

All orders will contain instructions on how to prepare the raw herb formula into an herbal tea (decoction), or make a medicinal wine, and we will supply a list of herbal ingredients plus instructions on traditionally recommended dosage.
