In an
age in which exorbitant medical costs have caused a large
percentage of the US population to be medically uninsured,
a functional comprehensive system that can be used for basic
health maintenance is sorely needed. After being introduced
to this ancient medical system (nearly 25 years ago), I immediately
recognized traditional Chinese medicine’s capability
for satisfying that role.
Today,
I am no less convinced of its value to the average person
who in many instances lack basic medical knowledge and need
an easily understood and affordable means for managing a wide
range of health problems. Chinese herbs, which are the foundation
of the traditional Chinese medical system, are not only affordable
in most cases herbal remedies cost but a fraction of their
Western counterparts.
It has
also been proven by centuries of continuous use, that in many
cases they can be safely self-administered.
Since
their introduction into the US in the early 70s Chinese herbs
have experienced a steady increase in popularity. Unfortunately,
over the years they have become shrouded in mystery, and their
use has been made unnecessarily complex. It is our mission
at TREASURES FROM THE SEA OF CHI to de-mystify
this valuable healing art and present it in an uncomplicated
fashion that is easy for everyone to understand.
If you
are in the least bit concerned about health and safe effective
medicines that can be used for a wide range of health issues,
then you owe it to yourself to become familiar with Chinese
herbal remedies. They are by and large non-toxic, organic,
effective, and affordable.
As an
acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, martial artist, author,
and founder of TREASURES FROM THE SEA OF CHI
I have studied many different forms of alternative medicine;
however, my core training centers around traditional Chinese
herbal medicine. My private practice combines the therapies
of Chinese Herbology, and Tien Tao Chi Gong (which
is a therapeutic or healing form of martial arts). I am an
active martial artist and certified instructor in both internal
(Chi Gong) and external (Chinese Goju) martial
arts styles.
My endorsement
of Chinese herbs is supported by my fervent belief that all
healing comes from God, and it is God who has provided (through
plant medicines) the means for curing all human afflictions.
I wish
you the very best of health,
